1) File name completion: With a file name like "Ägaren" (begins with swedish letter Ä - uppercase A with two dots) you can not "complete" the name if you first enter a lowercase ä. File name completion is otherwise case insensitive on w32. (I tested this in C-x C-f.)
2) In an interactive shell (M-x shell) running cmd.exe the Ä in the path is shown as \216. However using Cygwin bash.exe for the shell the letter is shown correctly.
These two bugs I can reproduce on w2k English. However I saw another strange bug I can not reproduce here:
xp-se1) Starting with "emacs -Q" and opening a new file with "C-x C-f ~/new.el" and then again doing C-x C-f to open a new file then "/Ägaren/" in the prompt string is replaced with "/çaren/".
This was done with CVS Emacs from 2005-11-28 on w32. I have no idea whether this is w32 specific or not.
