You missed one change in my patch which replaces
"get the diff for this revision"
with
"get the diff between the revision at point and the next revision"
I think this clarification is essential. The phrase "this revision"
is not clear. Maybe it should be even more clarified to say that
it works only when there exist the mark in non-transient-mark-mode
or if the region is active in transient-mark-mode.
