    You are right, this message does not appear often.  I had overlooked
    that point.  Therefore, putting it on a separate line would be ok.

    Assume the change I already sent you is installed.  Would it be better
    to put that message on a separate line?

I think so. 1) It leaves more room (flexibility) for possible future
changes. 2) It helps frame-fitting (and window-fitting?) code to DTRT.

Whenever possible, it's good to have *Help* buffer (and *Apropos* etc.) text
respect a max line length. Code that does things to these buffers or their
windows or frames can then more easily DTRT.

BTW, is there a command/function that fits windows (not frames), resizing
them not only vertically but also horizontally? That might be useful for
some buffers with consistently short lines.
