  The message is blocking me, as it uses (sleep).

> Why isn't one C-g enough?

  That's a point.

  Let me modify my bug report:

   If I hit C-g at the precise time auto-save is triggered (don't ask
  me HOW it is triggered as I hit a key), then I can't cancel the
  (sleep) with C-g, and furthermore, C-g reset the sleeping.

   In fact, the whole thing is about the fact that C-g seems to not be
  treated as a key that resets the timeout for autosave.

   Here's a clearer HOW TO for triggering this bug :

$ emacs -Q on-a-read-only-file

M-x set-var RET auto-save-timeout RET 1 RET
C-x C-q, modify a bit then immediately type C-g and stay on it.

When the message is shown, you will not be able to kill it.

> Why do you want to type C-g at all?

  I hope I've clarified the whole thing.

> I do not understand "let the message be printed 3 secs".

  You can't exit the (sleep).
