RE: several extra pixels between text and scroll bar

    Does the scrollbar width have to be an integer multiple of the default
    font width? Could this be the cause of the "extra pixels"? I think
    this used to be the case, but I don't know if it was changed at some
    stage.

Good question. I don't know. I'm using the default for both scroll bar and
font, in any case.
