A nice feature of Emacs -- namely that of showing in the message
area the keystroke one could have used  instead of doing it the
long way around with M-x  -- fails to put that message in the
*Messages* buffer.

I'd like to have the ability to speak that message when it shows
up -- would be easy to do if it were added to the *Messages*
buffer.
