I don't have any strong objection to the patch other than the fact that it
feels wrong: DND events are normal user-initiated commands so I think they
should be handled normally.  The special-event-map seems to me more
intended to handle "internal" events that do not correspond to
user actions (or do correspond, but only indirectly).
