Indeed it does, but now the problem is again that the errors go by unnoticed. A message *is* displayed--but it goes by so fast that it's impossible to notice, much less read it. The *Messages* buffer contains: Failed copies--type ? for details ((etc/sudoers.tmp~ etc/sudoers [...many more files] etc/.pwd.lock)) Copy: 1 of 1 Copy: 1 file Only the last of these messages was visible.
