In the Elisp manual, how about linking between the part of the manual
that describes strings and characters and node Describing Characters?
It took me quite a while to find node Describing Characters - I looked
first at the Strings and Characters node and its subnodes. Someone
looking at node String Conversion, for instance, should be able to see
a link to node Describing Characters - and vice versa.
In GNU Emacs 22.0.50.1 (i386-msvc-nt5.1.2600)
of 2006-07-19 on BOS-CTHEWLAP2
X server distributor `Microsoft Corp.', version 5.1.2600
configured using `configure --with-msvc (12.00)'
