HANDA-san, first I guess the reason I dont have problem with .newrc.eld
is what in my .newrc.eld:

;; -*- emacs-lisp -*- 

no coding set here.

Second, since the problem with .gnus.registry.eld occurred, I had to
clear its content to make Gnus run. Then I disabled it. OK now I
re-enabled it, and then problem occurs again, I'll post the problamatic
lines.

My observation is I never had this problem with Emacs 22, and I found
this problem on both Windoze and MacOSX after I switched to use Emacs
23. So I guess it's an Emacs 23 only problem.

I have to say that after good work of Emacs team, esp. you, Emacs 23 is
good enough for everyday use, at least for me since I mostly use
Emacs+Gnus only. Many problems I found in the past and for them I had to
use Emacs 22 back have been solved.
