It doesn't crash for me, neither on Windows XP nor on W2K, starting
with "emacs -Q", but I use Emacs 22, not the unicode-2 branch that you
are evidently using.

This report is in Japanese, so I cannot read it.

I wonder how could gnuserv have anything to do with reading Info
manuals.
Can you at least show a backtrace of the crash?
