    That's strange.  As I fixed bindings.el on 09-22, now the
    count of bindings for self-insert-command (i.e. the length
    of the return value of (where-is-internal
    'self-insert-command)) is just 499.  Are you sure that you
    are testing with the latest version?

No; I am not. My original bug report said this:

In GNU Emacs 22.0.50.1 (i386-msvc-nt5.1.2600)
 of 2006-07-19 on BOS-CTHEWLAP2
X server distributor `Microsoft Corp.', version 5.1.2600
configured using `configure --with-msvc (12.00)'

If the length is now just 499, that's great - no need for any change. In my
build, with emacs -Q, the length is 4741. Thx!
