i'm am leaning towards a modest "yes". i see interactive entry of the
exposure spec to be infrequent, but it may be that on those occasions
where someone is entering it, they would want to be able to tinker by
recalling and adjusting one from history. the history mechanisms
would be useful, then.
is that helpful? am i even understanding the question, now?
I think it is still a misunderstanding. All minibuffer input has
history. The question is whether these should use
read-expression-history, or use the default history list.
(They could also use a separate history list if you want.)
Also, the question is whether these inputs should define M-TAB
to complete Lisp functions.
