Replacement of spaces in wdired

In wdired I can replace the space before the filenames during
query-replace with a character. It doesn't seem to cause anything,
it just doesn't look good.

I think it's a bug:
"The only editable texts in a WDired buffer are filenames,
symbolic link targets, and filenames permission."
