Please describe exactly what actions triggered the bug
and the precise symptoms of the bug:

> From the Options menu, select Customize Emacs | New Options...  Then at the 
prompt, hit Enter.  This produces the error message "Symbol's value as 
variable is void: custom-versions-load-alist".
