The above seems to be trouble because I tested different keyboards in 
XP. I forgot to turn the keyboard switching characters off in XP.

I have seen this trouble for the shell command both using MSYS and 
Cygwin as inferior shells. Seems to be a problem with sync of Emacs view 
of the directory and the shells dito.
