The above seems to be trouble because I tested different keyboards in XP. I forgot to turn the keyboard switching characters off in XP.
I have seen this trouble for the shell command both using MSYS and Cygwin as inferior shells. Seems to be a problem with sync of Emacs view of the directory and the shells dito.If I try to enter * (see above) I get a ]. Quite strange. It only happens inside Emacs.MSYS /c > dir Pr<TAB> In minibuffer: Partially completed MSYS /c > dir(the listing does not contain Program Files, but it should as far as I can see)MSYS /c > pwd /c
