-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 2.1M Jan 20 06:11 DOC-22.0.92.8

Can someone tell me what is the use of this DOC-* file? And why we
have to have that many DOC-* files? Because each time after installing
Emacs, the first thing I do is go to the data-directory and delete
all of them except the one correspond to current Emacs version.

The point is if I have 50 builds then the DOC-* will take up more than
100M disk space.
