Well, I'll try again. Copy the expression at the end of this e-mail  
into the clipboard.

/Applications/Emacs.app/Contents/MacOS/Emacs -Q

Press C-y RET RET RET.

Move mouse pointer over last closing paren in the buffer. Double-click.

The result is exactly as in the screenshot attached. What happens  
after the double-click is that the whole visible buffer contents are  
visually marked as region, then the buffer scrolls up one line, and  
then the region is changed to what is shown in the screenshot  
attached. Note that at the end, the mouse pointer is over the  
"." (period) at which the region begins.

Note that the text being copied into the buffer is on one long line;  
if your e-mail client breaks the lines, it might not work.

I afraid can't any more precise than this.

If Emacs crashed, and you have the Emacs process in the gdb debugger,
please include the output from the following gdb commands:
    `bt full' and `xbacktrace'.
If you would like to further debug the crash, please read the file
/Applications/Emacs.app/Contents/Resources/etc/DEBUG for instructions.
