$ zpcregrep -i 'must .*\bl\b' /usr/share/emacs/22.0.92/lisp/dired.el.gz
"*Switches passed to `ls' for Dired. MUST contain the `l' option.
(read-string "ls switches (must contain -l): " dired-actual-switches))
Oh yeah? Well my
$ cat noeuerduesbeueroeug/.dired
Local Variables:
dired-actual-switches: "-og"
End:
doesn't. P.S.,
s runs the command dired-sort-toggle-or-edit
Toggle between sort by date/name and refresh the dired buffer.
With a prefix argument you can edit the current listing switches
instead.
Please also mention
You can even set them per-directory with a
dired-local-variables-file.
Else years will go by without users knowing about it. And perhaps give
my above example. Mention dired-local-variables-file in more places
because it is great.
