No, because those are not two different options ("or"); they denote the same
thing. "Lru" stands for "least recently used", but least recently selected
is what is meant by that.

It is not good to use acronyms that are either 1) not common (previously
known) or 2) not used elsewhere. There is no sense introducing an acronym
unless you are going to use it in several places to avoid repetition of
lengthy phrases. There is never any sense in using an acronym that has never
been introduced anywhere (defined).

The function should be renamed. If that is not possible, then this (useless)
acronym needs to be introduced as standing for "least recently used", and
"selected" needs to be given as the definition of "used" in that phrase.

When people are lazy or sloppy about naming things, it makes for much
wordier and clumsier doc and code, in the long run. Always.
