I should say that although my latest patch looks more extensive than
my previous version, this really is largely an optical illusion.  I
feel that my later version is much more solid.  I tested prompting in
all eight combinatorial possibilities (locate vs locate-with-filter,
C-u vs no C-u, locate-prompt-for-command nil vs t) and checked that
not only the prompting was correct in all eight cases, but that the
`g' command worked correctly in all eight cases as well.
