Could someone test whether this happens on non-Windows OSs too? AFAICT the bug is (1) caused by repeatedly running a point-entered hook (but I can't detect whether it is run by something in redisplay) and (2) hence could be related to the table cell menu bug reported earlier by Tak Ota.
