Hmm. This looks like a job for org.el! (Yes, yes, the Planner
maintainer is a little bit weird and will shamelessly suggest other
organizing modes whenever they're more appropriate.)
org.el is http://www.emacswiki.org/cgi-bin/wiki/OrgMode , which is
part of CVS Emacs. This is what it looks like:

There seems to be remember-el support for it, too, which is good.
Try it out for a bit, and then we'll figure out which pieces you'd
like to cobble together. =)
