[ESPResSo-devel] After 3.1.0

Hi developers!

First let me thank all of you who have helped creating ESPResSo 3.1.0! I
think that we can be pretty proud of our work. According to git, the
release contains 935 commits since version 3.0.2.

After the release has been done, the master branch is open to new
features again, so I will try to pull those requests that some of you
have already sent me during the last weeks.
