I found a site which has some information on the history and foundations

the info from the site for the intro to the numbers chapter. I have
asked for and received permission to use the content on the site.
you can use "information" as much as you want... after all, history
cannot be copyrighted. its only if you are copying and pasting (or
blatantly plagiarising their material) does it start to become an issue.
having lots of interesting maths history is definitely something we
should be aiming to do. when all the syllabus content is written up...
you should all expect an email from me with a reading list of history
books to read :-D we will then go through the content and add
"interesting facts/history" to the book.
although... this guy you asked, sanya... he doesn't explicitly say we
can re-license his material under the GFDL. thats pretty important if
we are going to be copying and pasting his material.
cheers,
Sam
