Hi there,
I'm having a problem running fluidsynth and was wondering if anyone
could help me out. It compiles fine, but when run, it produces error
messages along these lines:
address@hidden gimbo] fluidsynth
fluidsynth: error: Failed to set the sample rate
Failed to create the audio driver
address@hidden audigy_cd] fluidsynth synths_keys.sf2
fluidsynth: warning: Failed to pin the sample data to RAM; swapping is possible.
fluidsynth: error: Failed to set the sample rate
Failed to create the audio driver
I'm running gentoo linux on a 2.4.20 kernel with alsa 0.9.2r6 and a
Soundblaster Audigy Platinum Ex. Sound and MIDI are working in other
applications (eg xmms, aconnect, aseqview, sfxload all act as I would
want them to).
Any ideas on how to proceed? Am I doing something stupid? :-)
Thanks in advance for any help,
Andy
