Hallo,
(AFAIK Peter is very busy with other things.)

This is really cool. Although... (see below)

(continued) ...a fluid~ object for Max is in existance for almost a
year. I wrote it using the flext cross plattform layer which allows
the same source code to be used for Pd and Max/MSP (maybe jMax later).
You can get some more info about my fluid~ here:
http://footils.org/cms/?show_article=17
For the source code please check out the version from the
pure-data.sf.net CVS, though, my site is slightly out of date.
The only problem is: I don't run Mac nor Max, so I could not provide a
Max binary. My pleas for help regarding compilation of fluid~ on the
max-msp mailing didn't lead to a binary, because compilation is a bit
tricky - you need to compile fluidsynth *and* flext in advance.
Actually flext seemed to be the lesser problem of these two.
That's why fluid~ still is only available in source form for Max. I
have no idea of build systems on a Mac and I won't learn this in the
forseeable future, so I'm dependent on outside help with this. But
maybe we could joins forces here? fluid~ currently is rather basic. I
deliberatly omitted several special features like the internal
effects, because I think, that these aren't really necessary in
environments like Max and Pd, but of course this could changed.
For Pd, the fluid~ external is well tested, not only by me, but I also
know several other users who don't complain (apart from the occasional
bugfix).
So, what now? ;)
ciao
