You need the unzip utility, which is not the same as the gunzip utility. In other words gzip is not Zip. Hopefully there isn't any nasty compression surprises waiting inside, like sfpack or sfark.

I guess that either replacing Musica_Theoria_v2_(GM)_sf2.zip by "Musica_Theoria_v2_(GM)_sf2.zip" (use quotes) or renaming the file for it not to have any '(' or ')' in it could also help.

Right! Renaming the unpacked soundfont to "Musica_Theoria.sf2" also helps for loading it into fluidsynth.
