Unfortunately, this is exactly how I'm thinking. I could not nearly work
out what was wrong with the new version and am very happy with the old
version. 

I'd like to start porting the scheme stuff to the new version as
planned. Otherwise I would concentrate again on the scheme plugins for
galago.
