demo programs

Which files need to be included in order to run the demo program for
windows?  Also, why does the program make calls such as

line += glyph->bitmap.cols

and

glyph = face->slot;

when neither cols nor slot are members of FT_Bitmap and FT_FaceRec
respectively.  In addition, the call

FT_Resource resource

is made, even though I can't seen to find a declaration of it anywhere.
Similarly, FT_LOAD_NO_OUTLINE is called, but is not defined in freetype.h.
