If you are working on a UNIX box, just use the clcommit script from
the cvs-utils package.
And if you are working with Emacs, use the wonderful `C-x 4 a' command
to let Emacs automatically create a ChangeLog template entry.
You can check it out as a CVS archive with
cvs -d :pserver:address@hidden:/cvs login
cvs -d :pserver:address@hidden:/cvs co cvs-utils

Nothing. ChangeLog will start with 2.0 -- I've checked the diffs
relative to the VER-2-0 tag and added appropriate entries manually.
For older changes, people have to check the CVS commit log file (which
is a lot more imprecise).
