Dear Freetype Development Team,

I need help, or rather any suggestion, on rendering the fonts with
pid=3 and eid=10 with proper encoding id.

I've found that the new "simsung.ttc" font equipped with "Microsoft
Office XP Proofing Tools 2002" has the `cmap' with platform ID = 3 and
encoding ID = 10.

According to "http://www.microsoft.com/typography/otspec/cmap.htm";,
encoding-id 10 font contains format12 subtable and is UCS-4 font,
which are the set of 32-bit encoded glyphs.

Indeed, this font contains about 20,000 characters in BMP (Basic
Multilingual Plane of ISO/IEC 10646-1) and 40,000 characters in SIP
(Supplimentaly Ideographic Plane of ISO/IEC 10646-2). I could
properly use this font in Microsoft Word XP for typing and printing
SIP characters.

Thus, I would like to handle SIP section of this font with freetype.
It seems Freetype has not yet support pid=3/eid=10 fonts, but I would
really apprecate to know if there will be any attempts to handle this
kind of font in the future.

Sincerely yours,
