in the file 90pv-RKSJ-UCS2, there is a strange syntax used for
bfrange:

While it is quite straightforward to understand what it means (using
<XXXXYYYY....> as the third argument, I couldn't find this syntax form
in any of Adobe's technotes.

Can you provide more information?
