[Devel] The HOWs and WHYs of the FreeType rasterizer

The document 'The HOWs and WHYs of the FreeType rasterizer' by David Turner
is a good explanation of FreeType's rendering algorithm: the method used to
convert outlines defined as line segments and conic or cubic splines into
bitmaps. This document is not in the FreeType website, although it used to
be some years ago.

It can be found at http://www.muehlgasse.de/doc/packages/freetype/raster.txt
and two other places - the other two are on the University of Cologne's
site.

There is a chance that this very useful document will disappear from the
World Wide Web unless it is restored to its rightful place in the FreeType
site. And if it is now incorrect, it would be nice if it could be brought up
to date, although that is not entirely necessary.

So please bring it back home where it belongs.

Best wishes,

Graham Asher
