Erm... GNU tar is *FAR* away from the POSIX standard (technically
there are lots of rants from Joerg Schilling about this on the net...
I don't share the style of the rants... but (as hard it is for me to
agree with him) from a technical perspective he's mostly right... ;-/
) ... so we should embrace more of the POSIX ustar and pax formats and
not "more" GNU tar extensions.
