I have not worked on a mac in a long time. (System 7 was the lat time I
worked on it)

You could trythis.
Open the font file in a resource editor and copy the data from the
appropriate resource and save it in the data fork of the file.

Subject: mac font files

hello!

I am working a program that will hopefully extract the
glyph outlines of truetype fonts in order to create 3d
titling effects, and I'm trying to do this using
Freetype.
Everything seems great, except that when creating a
face object, I need to pass in a .ttf font file, and
on the mac such files dont seem to exist.
Is there a way to use the built-in mac font files for
creating face objects in Freetype?
Any response would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
