PLEASE DON'T DO THIS!!!When you convert from fonts to outlines, you are losing all the important information (ie. HINTING!) that can be used by printers or on screen viewers (Ghostscript, Acrobat, etc.).
The correct way to do it is to copy some (or all) of the font data into the PS/PDF file as part of the appropriate dictionaries. You can find code for this in a number of open source projects including AbiWord and PDFTeX.
