I'm using ft2-2.1.8 for two week without problems. It fixed the most
annoying glitches rendering some fonts. The only "problem" is that gcc-3.3.3
outputs A LOT of warnings about broken aliasing rules. Perhaps it's safer
compiling it with -fno-strict-aliasing ?
