[ft] How can I use Freetype fron Visual Basic?

I have downloaded the freetype 2 Win32 build and am trying to work out how to call the functions in the freetype6.dll file from Visual Basic 2005, but I can't work out how to define the parameters. For example how do I define the FT_Library type, so that I can pass a variable of that type?
