[This is an edited version of the mail I received]

In view of the evaluation (in November 2001) of the 2001 call of the
Information Society Technologies Programme (closing on 17 October 2001) on
the Free software development action line, experts are needed with
competence in:
- the free software world in general, and,
- specific technical topics (services to developers, media technology,
co-operative information production and sharing, usability).

For a person to be used as an evaluator, s/he must have answered a call for
expression of interest. The on-line submission system has been simplified.

Paper submission is also possible:

Please consider registering, in particular if you are not involved in
proposals to be submitted at this call. Be careful to give enough
information (and in particular reference to free software or open source
software) in the sections "profile" and/or "description of functions".
Making it possible for proposals to be evaluated by competent experts is an
important contribution.

The Commission has an active policy in supporting the participation of women
to evaluations. It ensures that the proper balance of competence, type of
organisation, and geographical origin is represented in the evaluation
panel. We also ensure rotation of experts on a sufficiently frequent basis.

Please re-disseminate this call to relevant persons.
