I don't know whether this has reached you already...

We are planning a large booth with FSF Europe + associate
organizations at the next LinuxTag that should be a lot of fun.

This should give you more information.

Hi all,

the LinuxTag in Karlsruhe is approaching fast and our booth coordation
volunteer, Volker Dormeyer, needs to know who (or at least how many)
is coming from which country/association in order to organize the
timetables for the booth, give specifics about demand of space and
organize for sleeping places for those who need them.

This is a lot of work and we should try to make it as easy for him as
we can!

Therefore I just created a new mailing list for booth coordination
purposes,

          address@hidden

with a web interface at

          http://mailman.fsfeurope.org/mailman/listinfo/booth

which is administrated by Volker.

This list will be dealing with all the practical issues of organizing
booths for the various tradeshows throughout Europe.

Would someone from every associate organization (ideally those who
plan to/think about coming to Karlsruhe) please subscribe to that list
and let Volker know what he needs to know to organize the booth?

Regards,
Georg

P.S. A few more thoughts about address@hidden:

Since it will probably see occasionally high traffic, I suggest we do
not have volunteers permanently subscribed to it, it probably makes
more sense to have an additional booth-volunteers list, on wich
volunteers would only receive calls for volunteers so they can
subscribe to booth whenever they want to get involved in a specific
event.

Still: I would like to ask at least 1-2 people from each of our
associated organizations to remain permanently subscribed to booth
just in case and to remain on top of the issues.
