I'm disappointed by this: I'd prefer the domain was owned by a private
British natural person (PBNP) than a private US legal person (PULP).
I'd like it even more if the domain was owned as a commons, but I
don't think anyone else has suggested it, free software Manchester
doesn't have the capability to do that itself just now and people
seemed resistant to affiliating to groups like SPI-Inc who can do it.
I believe this in part because I've been involved in groups where a
PBNP has "owned" its name for years without causing the group
significant problems and projects where I feel a PULP has screwed us.
However, as PULPs go, FSF ought to be better than most for this.
