Manchester Free Software is still looking for a future meeting space.
The admin team and I have been looking round for suitable venues, but
with little success.
We've ruled out most places on our list, although, we are still
waiting to hear back from the University of Manchester and the
Manchester Met Uni.

This has left us with two choices: the BBC on Oxford Road or the Lass
O'Gowrie around the corner on Charles Street.

The most recent meeting was at the Lass O'Gowrie pub and in my opinion
it was a very nice venue. I've spoken to the manager and he has said
that we could hire the upstairs room, that we were in on Tuesday, for
£5 an hour (so £10 a meeting) if we make regular bookings. This could
be paid for from the group's current funds, particularly if people buy
more books!

I've not spoken to Ian recently about using the BBC again, but I
believe he's still keen for us to hold meetings there.

Therefore, I propose that we arrange to meet at one of these locations
for the June, July and August meetings. Please vote now to indicate
which you'd prefer. The poll is at http://doodle.com/nkysqdfs9dpip9u8.
Voting will be open until the end of May.

Alternatively, if you know of any other venues, please tell us!

Lucy
