No, it is something very gnome-specific that makes those buttons appear, not the mere fact that something gets mounted. All my gizmos get mounted when i stick them in, some cameras even through the FUSE filesystem. But none of them is picked up by gcmd. You have to run a full blown gnome-do-everything-automation desktop to have that feture in gcmd. So it is broken by gnome-design so to speak.
