Hi Martin,
What version of gcmd do you use ? If it is 1.2.8 series, then the latest
gcmd code differs significantly from that one. I believe that most
flickering problems has gone since 1.2.8...
I'd recommend you to build gcmd from the repo
(http://git.gnome.org/browse/gnome-commander/snapshot/gnome-commander-master.tar.bz2?h=master)
and give it a try ;o)
As for gvfs - this the main obstacle on the road to GTK 3.0. I do plan
switching to gio/gvfs, but unfortunately it requires lots of recoding.
So, definitely yes, but after 1.4 release (which is expected quite soon)
MIME support relies on gvfs too, so this a bundle ;o)
What about open dlgs ? Do you mean any particular dlg that can be
replaced with the newer ones ?
