The remote target is ARM processor (TI's DM8148 ).
The versions are:
GNU gdb version 7.7
GNU gdbserver 7.7

Do you have any idea why it does not work ? should I give architecture arm, instead of architecture i386 ?

I'm assuming the remote target is i386.

It would be nice to know more information about your setup.  Which
version of GDB you're using?  What about gdbserver?  How are you
starting GDB and gdbserver?

BTW, the official mailing list for GDB is <address@hidden>.
Unfortunately, this mailing list is not used and almost nobody reads it.
