Hello all,
I am Patrice Dumas, and I am about to take an active part in the texinfo
project since the plan is to use texi2html to replace makeinfo as soon
as the info backend in texi2html is finished.
Following Stepan suggestion, I searched for a place in Paris for the GHM.
I contacted a person from the town hall of a Paris district (13eme
arrondissement), Jerôme Relinger who is pro free software. For example
they invited RMS in 2004:

They are ok to host the GHM, at the town hall of the district (Mairie
du 13eme arrondissement) though I don't know what would be the precise
conditions (like, how many people, what internet access).
I don't know if this proposal for the GHM hosting is of interest to
you. If it is, I'd like to have more information about the maximum
number of people, or the possible dates.
There is a free software event in France in july, from 7 to 11, in the
town of Nantes.

I don't know if you are interested in attending because it is mainly
in french, but in case you are maybe it could be relevant
to select dates around that event, since Nantes is about 2h by train
from Paris (about 110 euro for a round trip). Last year RMS was there
and gave a speech in french about the GPLv3.
If this is not a solution to be retained for this year, it could also
be interesting next year.
