Hi,

I found this site http://showmedo.com is pretty interesting. There are
lots of screen castings and tutorials on Linux and other programming
languages. There is a tutorial on how to do screen cast on Linux
http://showmedo.com/videos/screencasting.

I want some among you to come up with similar kind of tutorials using
screen casting program called vnc2swf. It fun to learn from screen cast
rather than going through manuals or some books.

I wish some one should create a portal on glug website for all these
screen casting tutorials.

These tutorials can be of great help for a newbie on Linux

- How to Configure Synaptic Packet manager with various repositories for
ubuntu and suse.
- How to compile and debug Linux kernel
- How to make Rpms for various distributions
- How to run windows games on Linux
- How to setup NFS on Ubuntu and some other distributions.
- How to setup Mediawiki or Drupal.
- How to configure various servers like ftp, web server, etc.

I'm ready to contribute some from my side. I want some one to come up
with extensive list on what all things can be covered through the screen
cast. May be one day our glug will become the one stop to learn any
thing on Linux.

You can enjoy free software to the max only when you contribute back to
the community :)

What say?

Peace,
Vijay
