Then the test results get buried in the distcheck ones, I think we
want testing as a separate phase. I did fix a pile of ancient bugs in
our testsuite Makefiles which running the tests from a dist tarball found.
What might be nice is that instead if always building from a git
source tree, would be to always run make dist first, then only use the
source tarball for buildbot.
