Use __null instead of NULL for pointers

Is it sane to use a symbol starting with "__" in user code ?
How did it work before it regressed (assuming this is a regression) ?

It is a regression. To be precise, it is caused by RawFBDevice.h, which
includes several Linux headers, that have their own agenda about NULL.

I'm cooking up a patch that reduces the exposure of RawFBDevice.h to the
outside world.
